Lucky winners receive their prize
Tuesday saw the hand over of the Unlocking Music software to St Margarets school in Tadworth, the lucky winners from Learning Disability Today last November.
The school, on the site of The Children’s Trust, provides residential and day education for pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties and complex health needs and publishes The Profound Education Curriculum, used by dozens of special schools around the UK and internationally.
We were pleased they won as they share the Decoda ethos of encouraging creativity in everyone. Jan Cunningham, Head Teacher at St Margaret’s School, said: “Music plays an important role at the school as a way of communicating with our pupils and enabling them to express themselves, so we were delighted to win this equipment.”
So, lots of happy faces all round yesterday and we’re looking forward to hearing about how they’re using the software.
